Welcome
to Hull School, a partnership educational program jointly operated by
Hull Child and Family Services and the Calgary Board of Education.
This
partnership program includes students, parents, families, caregivers and
community agencies working together to support our young people in
reaching their full potential as both learners and self confident,
responsible citizens.† With a strong emphasis on ensuring a quality
learning experience for all students, the young people at our school
develop new skills and attitudes in academic, vocational and
behavior/emotional areas.
Teaching
teams use individual program planning and the Circle of Courage
philosophy to engage students in the learning process and to develop
their sense of belonging, generosity, independence, and mastery of their
world.
Parents
and caregivers play a critical role in the success of the partnership
and hence their young person's education.
Ongoing
contact with the teaching teams, through daily phone calls and/or
writing in the communication book, active support of regular attendance,
homework assignments and your participation in progress meetings, are
all keys to the young person‚s educational success.
Your
understanding and participation in the Circle of Courage activities and
your involvement in celebrating your young person‚s success will also
serve to enhance their Hull School experience.
The
administrative team and the staff are looking forward to the 2008 - 2009
school year and the many exciting opportunities we will have to work
together for the benefit of your young people.
