About Our School

William Reid is a single track Kindergarten to Grade 4 French Immersion school located in Elbow Park. We have about 300 students who come to us from 24 communities in south central Calgary. In addition to French Immersion, our school offers a strong academic program in all subject areas. Curriculum is enhanced through the integration of fine arts and Artist in Residency programs as well as through the use or our outdoor naturalization areas. The culture of our school is that of a welcoming place where everyone is important, cared for, and proud to be part of our small, tight-knit school community. Our French motto is “nous travaillons bien ensemble” (we work well together), and reflects how students, staff and parents all work closely together to make our school a great place for children to learn.
