Aldermen - What Vancouver
Has Done - Visitors to Our
Over the course of our inquiry, we had several visitors to the classrooms.
Each visitor had a particular interest in graffiti and a particular viewpoint
about graffiti being a crime or an art.
Donalda Snider, the building manager of the Kerby
“A lot of graffiti happens probably because Kerby Centre
is close to Shaw Millennium Skateboard Park.”
Ian, co-owner of Calgary's Goodbye
“The majority of graffiti is not nice.”
Kim Morrison, the program director for
, the City of Calgary
“Murals Under Pressure Program 2005 is one beneficial
program that may not be funded next year.”
Kido, a graffer who had his art displayed in the Art
Gallery of Calgary
“Don't be afraid of something you don't know.
Get to know graffiti, the people behind it, the inspiration of
not gonna stop. It makes
look alive and colourful, not drab in grey
There are great
to work together."
