Many classroom conversations regarding the significance and power of names in our society led us to question Brand Names. What is a Brand Name? What purpose do they hold? Why are certain Brands more expensive or popular than others? What role do Brand Names have in our lives? With the varying opinions and comments, students agreed that a documentary would be the best way to send their message that ‘A Brand Name shouldn’t define who you are’. Similar to how Brand Names and logos are presented to the masses via television, students wanted to send their message in a comparable fashion. Hours of story boarding, researching, filming and editing have resulted in student understanding that a Brand Name doesn’t change who you are or your performance.
