Our work with Robotics is just starting. We will be updating this page as we go. Check back often.

Monday May 9 - Today we worked on attaching our motors to our robots. Some of us thought it was very easy and some of us felt very frustrated because our motors kept falling off. We worked hard and tried different ways of attaching our motors. We are excited about getting our rcx boxes on Wednesday.

Friday May 6 - Today we added our wheels to our chassis. Some of us chose different sized wheels. We thought it was very cool that all of our robots look different.

Wednesday May 4 - Today we built our chassis. We found it challenging to make them strong and at times were frustrated when they fell a apart. When we were done we were very excited and couldn't wait to add our wheels on Friday.

Monday May 5 - Today we talked about robots. We learned what the difference is between a robot and a machine. We decided that our robot's task would be to find insects. We would use a light sensor so when our robot saw an insect it would stop, let us know it found it and then move along. We are excited that even though each of our robots has the same task that they will all look different and let us know they found a bug in a different way.
