Registration for the 2017-18 school year is ongoing. Children must be at least four years old on or before March 1 to start kindergarten in September of the same calendar year. You have to register in person at your school with proof of residence, your child's name, date of birth and citizenship. Visit the CBE Registration page for more information and for the forms you'll need. More information is available on the CBE Kindergarten page.
Parents/guardians: Due to Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), if you want to keep receiving electronic messages from our school on commercial topics such as student fees and field trip costs, you need to subscribe online.
In addition, if you want to receive any text messages from our school, you need to opt-in by texting the word YES to the six-digit number 724665.
Student Drop Off/Pick Up
Safety of our students and families is paramount for us.
Parents who are dropping off or picking up their child must be aware of the safe places to do this. Do NOT park in the bus zone in front of the school, even briefly as we have 9 buses that need this space. Also do not park in the Special Needs bus/taxi zone along the rail (across from the tennis courts).
You may park:
By Sir Winston Churchill pool
Brentwood Arena parking
South side of Northmount Drive – Use the 2 designated crosswalks to cross the street
Captain John Palliser School
Do not make U-turns on Northmount Drive – it’s illegal and dangerous.
Please use the crosswalks as we teach our children the importance of following traffic rules.
