Welcome to Hillhurst School

We are one of over 227 schools with the Calgary Board of Education that offer a high quality public education program. Hillhurst School, built in 1912, is a small, vibrant elementary school adjacent to Riley Park. The school draws from 41 northwest communities and currently has 1 Kindergarten class and 7 Grade 1 to 6 classes. It also houses 5 GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) classes for Division II students.

Hillhurst has a close-knit, caring atmosphere that supports the individual growth of children. Through collaborative community effort, we provide enriched learning experiences that foster academic excellence and develop active, responsible, compassionate citizens.

Report Traffic Safety Concerns

The safety of our students is of primary concern to us.  Often, we outline safe driving practices while around our building and appeal to parents to role model safety over convenience.  If you see infractions, we encourage you to use this Calgary Police Service link to report traffic safety concerns.  They have agreed to support our concerns.
