It’s hard to believe that the school year is over! Students have been amazing learners and citizens throughout the year and deserve to enjoy the summer with family and friends. As students will learn through various activities this summer, they may not be exposed to French as much. We encouraged them at our Goodbye Assembly today to watch RADIO-CANADA daily and continue to increase their French language proficiency over the summer. Extra enrichment can only make a positive impact on their learning when they return to school on September 5th!
At the assembly we also wished the best to two of our colleagues who will be embarking on new adventures next year. M. David Jean-Allard will be teaching grade 12 Social Studies at William Aberhart School. Also, Mme Caroline Trenholm who joined us this year will be retiring from the profession after 30 years. We will miss them dearly!
We received a little gift from the Prime Minister’s Office today. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau wrote a letter to the students of Mme Genevieve’s class in response to their letter in November. Find attached a copy of his remarks.
The last words belong to three grade six students who shared their memories of King George School at the grade six graduation.
Enjoy the reading and have a wonderful summer!
