Our school strives to provide the best possible education for all students. Our school serves a student population that comes from the local communities in the school's catchment area as well as other parts of the city and surrounding area. While we are closely connected to the communities surrounding the school, our close proximity to the Foothills Medical Centre and University of Calgary make the school a popular choice for families with parents who work at one of these locations.

University School has a longstanding history of being an innovative school that offers its students a well-rounded, academically-oriented program that places an emphasis on the arts as well as the use of technology.

Before enrolling your child we encourage you to make an appointment to tour the school and learn more about what University School uniquely offers its students. Because of the significant increase in registrations for children who reside outside the school's attendance boundary, we now require an application for admission for children who wish to attend University School, but who are not resident in the school's attendance area. This application available for download as a Microsft Word document or as a pdf file or in hard copy from the school office. Completed forms can be emailed to the school or printed and brought to the school.

Parents of children who are new to Canada, or who are not Canadian Citizens and who have not already attended a Calgary Board of Education school should read the system registration information pertaining to Admissions and Multicultural Services.

When enrolling at the school you will need to bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate, immunization records, proof of address and last report card. It would also be helpful to provide the name, mailing address and phone number of your child's previous school.

Transportation

The Calgary Board of Education provides students who live in the school's catchment area but beyond 1.2 kilometres with bus transportation. Transportation to and from University School us planned and implemented by the Calgary Board's Transportation Team.
