On Tuesday and Thursday during the lunch hour We Club students will be selling Rafikis. Rafiki means 'friendship' in Swahili. These bracelets are handmade by mothers in several African nations. The regular bracelets are $10 and the special Mother's Day bracelets are $11. They support the different WE pillars including, opportunity, water, education, health and food. $5 from the sale of each bracelet goes directly back to support the women who make the bracelets and the other $5 goes to the pillar listed on the packaging. You can track your impact by going online and typing in the code on the back of each bracelet. $1 of the sale of each Mother's Day bracelets goes to support the anti-bullying movement in Dalhousie School to promote friendship and acceptance. The We Club students have been working very hard to make a difference and we hope that you will support their cause. The bracelets will also be sold during the afternoon and evening spring concerts.

Respect Club
During the month of May, Dalhousie will be celebrating “Respect Month” where we as a school are taking initiatives to follow the school motto “Take Care of Yourself, Take Care of Each Other, Take Care of Your School”. We will be participating in school-wide activities that demonstrate how we can show respect to one another including posters, stories, sharing, and weekly kindness challenges. We encourage you to talk  at home about how we can show respect.

West Jet Raffle:  The deadline to return the West Jet Raffle order forms is Monday, May 1.  Thank you for supporting this worthy fundraising effort..

Dalhousie student and parent community raised $2287.00 to donate towards the victims of the Fort McMurray fires.  This picture shows a few of the students at Dalhousie that took the cheque down to the Red Cross office to present to some of the employees.  We are proud of the generosity of our staff, students and parents.
