Weekly Update | Nov. 17, 2017

Only P.M. Kindergarten students attend school on Friday, November 24.

School Council meeting on Wednesday, November 22 at 6:30 p.m.  Free babysitting provided.

It was wonderful to see so many parents out to celebrate learning during our student-led conferences Thursday and Friday.  Thank you for showing your child that you value education!

Teachers are most appreciative of the delicious meals provided during student-led conferences.  Thank you to all those parent chefs who contributed to keep our tummies fed and happy!

Thank you also for your support of our Scholastic book fair.  It is wonderful to see a child’s smiling face when they are holding a brand-new, shiny book!

Spolumbo’s orders must be picked up on November 23 between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m. at the school’s front doors.  We have NO space to store these items in the school and would not want them to spoil. Thank you for your cooperation.

Poinsettia orders are due on Friday, November 24.

HOLD THE DATE AND DIG OUT THOSE FANCY DRESS-UP CLOTHES – Wednesday, December 20 from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. will be the Dalhousie School Art Gala.  The Art Gala is an evening event dedicated to celebrating the art projects created by all Dalhousie School students with support from our Artists-in-Residence, Carole Bondaroff and Stan Phelps. Watch for a formal invitation coming home in the next couple of weeks.

The next Fun Lunch will be held on Wednesday, November 22.  Deadline for orders is midnight tonight.

Thank you to those who checked the Lost and Found during student-led conferences.  Unfortunately, there are many items still unclaimed and we are running out of space.  This is your last chance to check the items before they are packed up and donated to charity next Friday.

Please note that school volunteer opportunities are constantly being updated.  Check regularly on Sign Up Genius if you are willing and available to help.  We LOVE Dalhousie School volunteers!

Our Hug and Go Zone is here to stay.  Please take advantage of this area in front of the school to drop off or pick up your child.  We ask that you not jaywalk across the street please.  Choose safety over convenience.  Thank you.
