About Our School

Welcome to Sundance School

Sundance School is a dual track school offering programs in both English and French Immersion.

We at Sundance extend a sincere welcome to each family in this school community. We are committed to student engagement in learning, and we work to create a positive learning environment that challenges and supports students in the development of their potential. We recognize that you, the parents, are our partners as we create learning experiences at Sundance School. With your help and support, the students will prosper. We welcome your involvement in our school as together we shape the lives of the children.

About Sundance School

The school was built in 1982 and is situated on 9.2 acres. The school has 20 classrooms, a large gymnasium, a music room on the stage, and a library. The Sundance community was named in honour of the greatest festival of the First Nations of the Plains – the Sun Dance. The park and lake provide a focal point for the entire community, and the first school built in the area was logically named Sundance School.

School Vision

To provide a learning community that responds quickly and effectively to the changing individual and collective needs of our students.

School Mission

Sundance School is committed to the development of each child’s potential, to the building in each child’s positive self-concept and to helping to develop in each child an inquisitive spirit and a desire for life long learning.
