Fridays for Acadia Kindergarten Students
At Acadia School, the grade 1 – 4 students have an early dismissal time on Fridays at 12:05 P.M. In the past, we have found it difficult getting our morning and afternoon students to and from school in such a short time span.
The 2011-2012 school year will be the fourth year our morning and afternoon classes attend school on alternate Fridays, from 8:00 a.m. – 12:05. Because of professional development days, holidays, parent-teacher conferences and other occasions, each class may only attend one or two Fridays per month.
The Acadia School Calendar indicates which Fridays the morning students attend school and which Fridays the afternoon students will attend school.
School Fees
MANDATORY INSTRUCTIONAL SUPPLIES and MATERIALS FEE - applicable for CBE Waiver
The Instructional Supplies and Materials (ISM) fee covers the basic cost of expendable instructional supplies and materials for all courses $15.00/student
2011-2012 Waiver Forms are available in the Acadia School office or on line at: http://www.cbe.ab.ca/Parents/Forms/FeeWaiverApplication11-12.pdf
It can take up to 6 weeks to process and the waiver will be prorated from the date of approval.
KINDERGARTEN ACTIVITY AND PROGRAM FEE:
This user fee is charged to students to cover the entire cost of field trips, activities, and in-class presentations, for example: The Clay Lady, the Bird Sanctuary, and special holiday projects. It also covers the cost of photos for various events. $50.00/student
NOTE: Swimming lessons (spring) will be an additional cost.
