At Colonel Walker School, we seek to provide a safe, welcoming, and aesthetically pleasing environment. More about our program
The teaching team at Colonel Walker School includes six energetic and creative individuals who, along with the Principal practice a highly collaborative approach to improving learning for students. In addition to designing inquiries and learning tasks through which students gain knowledge and develop capacities and skills associated with Alberta Education Programs of Studies, the team also works closely with the Parent Association and extended community to provide program enhancements such as:

Kindergarten
Colonel Walker School offers a half-day program. We are proud and excited about our program. We believe that kindergarten provides our children with the enhanced literacy and numeracy foundations that support them throughout their school careers.
Kindergarten Registration
Registration for Kindergarten begins in January and continues in the subsequent months. A child who turns four years old on or before March 1 can attend Kindergarten in the fall of that same calendar year. A child who turns five on or before March 1 is eligible to begin Grade 1 in that same year. Children must start school if they are six years old as of September 1. Our school is open to children from all communities. Parents are encouraged to make an appointment to learn about what a typical day involves for a child.
