Andrew Sibbald – Day 40
In music students have been working on
developing critical listening skills and on developing
their performance skills. Showtime will provide an
authentic opportunity to engage in these activities
through student performances.
Showtime will be an event where students are
invited to showcase a well-prepared performance for
their classmates. Performances can take many
forms including singing, playing an instrument,
dancing or giving a short presentation on an
approved music topic. Although performances are
voluntary, all students will improve their critical
listening skills as they appreciate and positively
Showtime will also help build a sense of community
as students develop an appreciation for the many
ways their classmates demonstrate performance
skills in music.
Our first showtime will take place the week following
the Christmas Concerts between December 15th– 18th during your child’s assigned music class.
Thank you for your continued support of the music
