Banting & Best School is part of a campus with Sherwood School, the two schools serve kindergarten through grade nine students from the Lynnwood, Millican, Ogden, Mahogany and Riverbend communities. The Sherwood building houses grades five through nine while kindergarten through grade four students are housed in the Banting & Best building.

Banting & Best and Sherwood schools are well-known within Calgary and Alberta for their extensive athletics and student leadrship programs. Serving as a community school, Banting hosts a variety of City Parks and Recreation, Athletics, and YMCA activities throughout the year.
