* We request that ALL students be part of the evening performance
* Students will meet in their homeroom and picked up from their homeroom after the
  evening performance
* School doors will be open ½ hour prior to the evening performance times

Please accept our apologize in advance if you have children in both evening performances.

We hope that you have had a chance to visit the Free Little Library outside the front doors of the school.  This is an opportunity to share in the love of reading.  Families are invited to borrow books from this library and take them home to read.  When they are finished with the book they can return it to the library box so that someone else can enjoy it.  You are also welcome to share any books in your own home that have already been enjoyed and you might like to share with another.  Happy Reading!

Kindergarten, Grade 1, 2 and 3 students will have the opportunity to work with Three Left Feet from January 12 to 29.  Their hard work will be showcased in a special afternoon and evening performance on January 29.  Stay tuned for further information regarding the performances.

Falconridge is a Calgary Reads School.  We believe strongly in the acquisition of strong literacy skills for all of our students.  This begins with providing all students with numerous opportunities to sing, read, talk and play.  Please feel free to have a conversation with your child’s teacher about how you can support the important acquisition of these fundamental skills.

School Council’s next meeting is: Thursday, Jan. 22 at 6:00 p.m.
All parents and community members are welcome to join us. We want to hear your voice!

Volunteer

Give the Gift of Time and Volunteer!
The students of Falconridge School rely on volunteers to make possible some very important learning opportunities. Parents are contacted at times when volunteers are needed. We invite all parents to come to the school office to complete their Calgary Police Services security check if you have not done so. This lasts for 5 years and we must have this completed before you are able to volunteer. Thanks again to all of our wonderful volunteers!

Mission & Purpose
mission

Through discovery and exploration, we will empower P.R.O.U.D. learners to become courageous leaders.

Guiding Principles:

personalized | I will know the passions of my students and broaden my perspective of diverse communication possibilities.

relationships | I will create significant relationships because without significant relationships there is no significant learning.

ownership | I will take responsibility for each and every student's learning. No excuses.

united | I will work to facilitate an environment where we support each other as professional learners.

dedicated | I will continually reflect on my work as I develop the most promising practice for the success of all students.
