Back to School Message

Welcome to returning and new families to our school. Our enrolment in K-6 is approximately 650 students. Thanks to the extra efforts of the support staff, teachers and parent volunteers, we are off to a very smooth start. We would also like to welcome new staff to Edgemont School:
Grade 1 – Tara Johnston
Grade 3 – Terra Freeze
Grade 4 - Marjan Patterson
Grade 6 – Sandra McKay-Smith

Prior to students arriving, the staff was busy getting ready for the start up of school. As part of school opening, we were fortunate to have our public health nurse (Tess Nielson) offer a refresher on the use of Epi-pens.

Good conversation connects us at a deeper level. Teachers have spent the beginning days in collective conversation. These conversations have created preliminary designs of learning opportunities for your children. These opportunities will allow students to each make their unique contributions to their community as a whole.
