Composting at Olympic Heights School

Photo of students and worm composterStudents learn about caring for the environment in different ways and what better way to understand what happens to our garbage than through the hands-on experience of composting! Students can not only learn about how waste can be turned into a rich soil, but also the related environmental concerns.  Olympic Heights School reduces its waste by composting all paper towel and food products. The goal is to reduce the amount of waste that goes into the landfill sites.

The main waste in our schools is paper towel and other organics. It makes a big difference to compost this material.
