Children’s Wonderings about Castle Structures
In our studies, the children have been learning about building different structures. They have been writing fairytales and have been fascinated with castles. They had many questions about how they were designed and what life was like in the castle. They posed questions, researched their questions, gathered many resources and literature books and shared their understandings through projects.

Fall
Inquiry
To tie in with our over-arching statement “Together we can discover the world,” our class did a fall inquiry. During our inquiry we read many books and went outside to observe the many changes that occur in fall. The children were asked to be thinking of questions about these changes that they were wondering about. The children shared their questions. We worked together to find answers to these questions through books and mini-lessons. The children chose a question that inspired them the most, and worked collaboratively in groups to create a project that would share what they learned.
