French Studies- Division II- Madame Kinjo
The grade 4 students have been using a variety of hands-on activities to acquire concepts and vocabulary in French. They worked collaboratively to identify the months of the year, and the days of the week. Students were challenged to make simple sentences using prepositions and school objects, to draw items they could include in their backpack, and to develop simple skits in the classroom.
The grade 6 students have used a variety of resources to learn about vocabulary related to healthy eating. They used questions to inquire about the nutritious foods from the four food groups, and to identify what they prefer in their snacks, pizza, sandwiches and meals. Students attempted to use sentence strips to classify questions and answers related to this study.
