Principal's Message - March
“A school ought to be a magical place where you are queen or king, and where what you get to do is focus on your intellect, and on what you can accomplish as a human being, and where you come to understand what your life can be. That’s what school should be for children”. (Ruth Simmons, Inaugural Address, Brown University, 2001).
Can you believe it’s already March? It’s almost starting to feel like spring. The other morning I thought I spotted a robin. Maybe that’s because I’m such an optimist… but the days are getting appreciably longer and that’s certainly cause for celebration! I would like to thank each of you for the important role you play in the education of your children. Your involvement in the school and your interest in and support of teaching and learning at McKenzie Lake is one of the reasons for our success. It is also the reason we continue to improve and transform based on our most current understanding of best practices. > More
