PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES AT RIVERBEND SCHOOL

To provide students with the appropriate support necessary for student academic and behavioral success.

1) To attend student-led conferences, read report cards, respond to communications from the school, and provide up-to-date information so that any emergency can be managed.

2) To support children in the school's endeavor to meaningfully engage them, to encourage them to assume responsibility for their learning and to support appropriate self-conduct.

3) To ensure early and on-going communication with staff regarding student progress concerns, attendance and/or concerns regarding student conduct.

4) To become involved in education through a variety of endeavors.

5) To continually ask “why?" so as to better understand the education process.

6) To support children by providing a time and place for home reading and study.
