Mandatory
Fee
Fees Mandated by the Calgary Board of Education
Instructional
Resource Fees
Covers the basic cost of instructional supplies for courses. Elementary
classes this fee includes paper, exercise book, pencils, pens, rulers,
erasers, scissors, crayons, glue etc. Junior High IRF fee goes to support
the option classes, purchase of textbooks and classroom materials.
Family Maximum
for the Instructional Resource Fee can be requested after parents pay
each school for the fee and then submit their receipts from the school(s)
they’ve paid – for the difference over and above the Family
Maximum of $264.00 dollars. Rebate forms are available from the school
office.
Refundable
Security Deposit (Junior High students Only)
This Fee guarantees the cost of lost and damaged instructional supplies
and materials. If books and other instructional resources loaned to students
for use in the school year are returned in satisfactory condition, the
Caution Fee will be refunded when the student leaves the program.

Fees
Noon
Supervision Fee Grades 1 - 6
Parents pay Noon Supervision for students who are not eligible for bussing.
This means students for whom Balmoral is NOT the designated school for
bussing. If your child is in walking distance or is an out of bounds student
then the Supervision fee is charged. Noon Supervision Fee for Junior High
This fee covers the cost of supervision for junior high students who are
at school for lunch.
Activity
Fees
Charged for field trips and extracurricular activities such as skiing,
swimming.
Calgary
Board of Education Fee Waivers
You may apply for a waiver of Instructional Resource Fee, General
School Fee, Music Rental Fee,
and Transportation Fee if your family qualifies. Please see the school
office for the Waiver Forms.

of instructional supplies for courses - $30.00
Other Fees: Lunchroom Fee
Fee is for walking or non-eligible bussed students only. - Full Payment
$230.00 or 2 payments $15.00
Lunchroom Fee for Eligible Bussed Students - $10.00
Junior
High
Mandatory
Fees - Instructional Supplies and Materials Fee covers the basic cost
of instructional supplies for courses - $105.00
Refundable Security Deposit - $50.00
Lunch Room Fee Covers supervision for all junior high students
who are at school for lunch - $30.00
