Welcome to Peter Lougheed School

Principal's Message | April 17, 2017

Dear Parents and Guardians of Peter Lougheed School;

We are extremely excited about our Grand Opening Ceremony coming up on Friday, April 28th at 10:30 a.m...  Students and staff are busy preparing the school for an amazing and memorable ‘Official Opening’ of our school.  This event will be attended by officials from the Calgary Board of Education, our School Trustees, Alberta Education, VIP’s from companies involved in the construction and special guests, representatives from the Lougheed Family.

The Grand Opening will take place in our Gymnasium.  Parents are MOST welcome to join us!

As you can see we have much going on at Peter Lougheed School this month!  With the improvement in weather, you may have noticed that we were able to remove all the orange fencing in our back field.  This has allowed us to really begin using our field and compound as a school versus the construction site it has been for most of the winter.  With the coming of spring, we have more students and staff using our wonderful compound and fields during our school day.   Having warmer day’s means we have more students riding their bikes to school, which is awesome.  We strongly encourage students to ride their bike (with a helmet!) to school.  Walking is another great option.  Please help us in reminding your children that we need them to be respectful when out in the community.  We stress to all our students that community always comes first!

All the best,
Mr. Gord Choate
