January 12, 2017
I am excited to confirm that our new school will open on March 13, 2017. Students will remain in the same classes with the teachers and classmates that they’ve had since the beginning of the year.
Friday, Mar. 10 will be a non-instructional day. We will use this day to organize the supplies and materials and prepare classrooms for our first day in the new school.
School hours will change for students who are currently at New Brighton School.
School Hours at Dr. Martha Cohen School:
9:03 a.m.– Start
3:40 p.m. – Dismissal (Monday through Thursday)
1:10 p.m. – Early Dismissal (Friday)
12-12:45 p.m. – Lunch
Only students who live outside of the school’s walk zone will be eligible for transportation to the new school. Information on the walk zone can be found on our website. New route maps for students who will continue to take the bus will be available before the end of February on the Find My Bus Route webpage.
Please fill out the Request to Cancel School Bus Transportation form as soon as possible ONLY if your child is eligible for transportation to the new school, but will NOT take the bus. Transportation contracts for students living in the walk zone will automatically be cancelled.
Please check your My CBE Account to ensure the fees you have been charged are for the correct length of your contract (6 months or 10 months).
If you have any questions regarding transportation please contact CBE Transportation at 403-817-7433 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students who live within the walk zone and will stay for lunch at the new school will need to re-register for noon supervision. After Feb. 28, please visit your My CBE Account to re-register. Students who are continuing to take the bus do not need to re-register.
If you have any questions about the move to our new school please contact me at email@example.com or 403-817-3548.
Any refunds owed to you for cancelled transportation and noon supervision services will be completed by April 30, 2017.
Dr. Martha Cohen School is absolutely beautiful and I know it will be a wonderful place for all of our students to learn and grow.
