About Our School

Colonel Macleod is located in the northeast community of Renfrew. A large portion of our student community is enrolled in the Traditional Learning centre (TLC) program. The TLC program is comprised of students from our neighbourhood community, as well as students from the communities of Livingstone, Carrington, Evanston, Sage Hill, Kincora, Hidden Valley, Macewan, Sandstone, Beddington and Huntington Hills. The remainder of our students walk to school from the communities of Renfrew, Regal Terrace and Winston Heights. Students in Grade 7 - 9 from Vista and Mayland Heights who are not attending the Arts Centered Learning Program at Sir John Franklin also attend our school and access CTS to come to school.

Colonel Macleod School has one system Division 3 Bridges class. Students in the program are active participants in our school community and the goal of the program is for students to be included in classes with their peers. Colonel Macleod School also has a LEAD class, which provides support to refugees new to Canada

At Colonel MacLeod we currently offer a varied program for Junior High students.  Career Technology Foundations (CTF) will form the basis of our complimentary courses and will be provided through an innovative program delivery method.  Students will have access to computers, technology, construction, foods, and fine arts.

Our school colors are yellow and black and our mascot is the cougar.
