2009 marks the beginning of another three year project of AISI.  In this round, three Learning Leaders have been assigned to work in the Clarence Sansom Junior High Family of Schools. The three learning leaders are: Kara Brownlee, Julie Kranjcec, and Audrey Wileman.  Along with Clarence Sansom Junior High School there are three elementary schools in the family.  The elementary schools are Douglas Harkness, Pineridge and Monterey Park.

A CBE project addressing “personalized learning” will be the focus of the AISI work in all CBE schools.   In our Family of Schools learning leaders are assigned to work with the teaching staff to help teachers develop skills and strategies to enhance their understanding of personalization. 

In 2009, AISI staff at Clarence Sansom Junior High will be working with teachers on two separate projects including a teacher planning model titled “Understanding by Design” and an initiative titled “Supporting Positive Behaviour in Schools”.  Both initiatives will lead to more personalized learning support for students.
