Staff and students are gearing up to show off the best of Sansom for our future Scorpions.  Students from Douglas Harkness Elementary, Pineridge Elementary, and Monterary Park Elementary will be exploring the halls and classrooms of Clarence Sansom Junior High on the afternoon of March 3, 2011.  Parents are invited to attend an evening tour session beginning at 6:30pm.

We’ll be showing off some of the great opportunities we offer students at Sansom, including:  climbing, dance, food/fashion, drama, band, computers, industrial arts, art, physical education, leadership, library, science, math, language arts, French, social studies, lifestyles, ESL and much more!

1:00-1:10    Students arrive from elementary schools; enter gym doors through front foyer and sit in designated areas.
1:00            Climbing students will climb as Grade 6 students arrive
1:10            Short welcome from Principal Million and Assistant Principal McKnight
1:12            Phys. Ed dept – brief info about PE classes, intramurals, school teams etc.
1:15            STUCO presidents – brief info about STUCO, spirit days, dances
                  Tour schedule explained – Guides will be directed to lead groups to assigned starting station;
                  stay at first station until bell rings; Bell will ring every 4 minutes to signal a change to the next station
2:15            Students directed to the gym for slide show and conclusion
2:25            Slide Show and Question/Answer led by Mr. Million
2:45            Students dismissed by school/group

6:30            Climbing students will climb as parents/students arrive
6:30            Gym doors are open and parents are welcomed to take seats in the gym
6:45            Mr. Million – short welcome speech
6:50            Band performance
6:55            Dance performance
7:00            School Council – introductions and brief information
7:05            Phys Ed team – introductions and brief info about programs
7:10            STUCO presidents – Tour Schedule/Instructions – Guides will be directed to lead groups to
                   assigned station and stay there until the bell rings.  Bell will ring every 5 minutes to signal
                   change to the next station.  
7:55            Tour Groups will be directed back to the gym for the slide show and concluding remarks
7:55            Slide Show/Question & Answer period – Mr. Million
8:15            Closing remarks – Mr. Million
