Terry Fox Athletic Code of Conduct

Terry Fox student-athletes are dedicated leaders who demonstrate positive behaviours, and good sportsmanship within our community, in our classrooms, and on the field of play.

 As a Terry Fox student-athlete I will :

  1. respect my community, my school, and other schools I visit as an ambassador of Terry Fox.
  2. be present in all of my classes on game-day. If absent, I will be in attendance to support my team, but will not participate.
  3. pass all of my classes. Failing 2 or more classes will make me ineligible for participation in athletics. Failing 1 class will require a meeting between my teacher, coach, parent, and myself to address my performance and create an improvement plan.
  4. comply with all of my teachers, realizing that disrespectful behaviours will negatively affect my participation with my team.
  5. attend all practices, realizing that I am committed and dedicated to my team. Failure to attend a practice will result in a one-game suspension. 2 nd offence = 2 game suspension. 3 rd offence = removal from the team.
  6. recognize that if I am removed from, or choose to quit, a team that I may be ineligible for all athletics for the remainder of the school year.
