Queen Elizabeth High School serves the needs of a diverse and caring school community. Ours is currently the only CBE School where students can attend from grade seven through twelve. This provides us with a unique opportunity to build relationships with students, parents and families. Students, parents and staff speak to the connections they make with one another and to how they value the experiences they share over six years of schooling or combination thereof.
Our school offers effective regular program instruction to all students in grades 7-9 and 10-12. The High School program offers students the opportunity to extend themselves academically through the Advanced Placement Program. Queen Elizabeth High School is a designated site for the GATE (Gifted and Talented Education) Program and the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Program. We also share an official partnership with the School of Alberta Ballet.
Aside from our classroom instructional program, our school provides many opportunities to advance and extend learning through participation in the co-curricular program. Our students participate in the CJHSAA and CSHSAA, and in a wide variety of clubs, organizations and events in the community of Calgary and beyond. Frequently our school is recognized locally, provincially and nationally for the achievement of our students.
Finally, I feel privileged to be Principal of Queen Elizabeth and to serve the needs of a dynamic school community. As Principal, I rely on everyone to commit to their studies, to be supportive of one another and through positive contributions, help to make our school a better place to be.
Thank you for choosing Queen Elizabeth High School.
