If you have questions about the work of the School Council and/or Parents Society, if you have some time to volunteer for any of our upcoming events or if there is something in particular you would like to have discussed at an upcoming meeting, please contact us.

News and Events:

The School Council will be hosting various topics of interest presentations.  The presentations are designed for you and your son/daughter to attend together and will be facilitated by knowledgeable professionals from CHHS and/or by experts from outside the CHHS community. Presentations take place in the Student Centre, beginning at 6:15 PM and will run approximately 40 minutes. Presentations for the 2017-2018 School Year will be posted as they are confirmed.


Meetings are held on Monday nights.  There are no meetings in December, March or June.  School Council meetings start @ 7:00 PM, followed immediately by the Parents Society meeting and are held in the Multi-Purpose Room.  This room is located directly north of the main entrance.  Meetings for the 2017/18 school year are:

December - no meeting
January 22
February 26
March - no meeting
April 23
May 28
June - no meeting

Crescent Heights High School Council


According to CBE Administrative Regulation 5001: "School council means a collective association of parents, teachers, principals, staff, students and community representatives established under the School Act that seeks to work together to promote the well-being and effectiveness of the entire school community, to enhance student learning and to facilitate cooperation among the concerned participants in the local school." We must also make decisions according to what is in the best interest of all students.

Mission Statement

In recognition of the important role the School Council plays in the success of Crescent Heights, our purpose is:

  1. effectively support and enhance student learning by intentionally supporting opportunities that will encourage students to strive for excellence and  experience success; and
  2. foster the well being and effectiveness of our School Community; and
  3. facilitate effective communication between the Parent community and the School.
