News and Events:
Door Prize Donations for Staff Luncheon;On Friday Dec 8th , School Council in cooperation with Parents Society will be hosting our annual Staff Appreciation Luncheon. We are looking for donations for door prizes ( approx. $25 in value), specific food items, and volunteer support. If you can assist with this please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org . We will get back to you with more information.
Meetings are held on Monday nights. There are no meetings in December, March or June. School Council meetings start @ 7:00 PM, followed immediately by the Parents Society meeting and are held in the Multi-Purpose Room. This room is located directly north of the main entrance. Meetings for the 2017/18 school year are:
September 25 - AGM
December - no meeting
March - no meeting
June - no meeting
According to CBE Administrative Regulation 5001: "School council means a collective association of parents, teachers, principals, staff, students and community representatives established under the School Act that seeks to work together to promote the well-being and effectiveness of the entire school community, to enhance student learning and to facilitate cooperation among the concerned participants in the local school." We must also make decisions according to what is in the best interest of all students.
In recognition of the important role the School Council plays in the success of Crescent Heights, our purpose is:
- effectively support and enhance student learning by intentionally supporting opportunities that will encourage students to strive for excellence and experience success; and
- foster the well being and effectiveness of our School Community; and
- facilitate effective communication between the Parent community and the School.
