·        Math Students who registered for the Cayley and Fermat contests:  please log in using your educbe.ca account, and check your mail for your invitation.  We look forward to seeing you Tuesday morning.

 

·        Cafeteria Closed:  Students please be advised the cafeteria will be closed Tuesday morning from 8:25 – 10:00am for an exam. Thank you

 

 

·        Get a Job!  Job Searching Strategies Workshop: Tuesday,  February 27th  at lunch in room 154: The Youth Employment Centre will present on how to find a job in this economy. Improve your chances of getting an interview & the job! Limited space; bring your lunch.

 

·        The Calgary Brain Bee

Grade 10-12 Neuroscience enthusiasts can still sign up for this two stage competition, offered at the University of Calgary on Saturday, April 7th from 10 – 4 PM (this is a new date – no longer during spring break).  There is a written exam and then a spelling-bee style competition for the top finishers (based on a .pdf book published on the Brain Bee website).  There are multiple prizes and the first place finisher moves on to the national competition at McMaster University with a paid trip, an i-Pad mini and a scholarship.

 

·        Grade 12s who will not be graduating this year and who wish to apply for a Returning Grade 12 year, must make an appointment with your counsellor to complete the application today.

 

·        Valedictorian

Are you interested in being the Valedictorian for the Class of 2018? Valedictorian applications are now available at the main office. Deadline for submission is Thursday March 22nd. If you have any questions please see Ms. Olson.

 

·        Banquet and Dance Emcees

There are a variety of speakers needed for the Graduation 2018 Banquet and Dance. Applications are now available at the main office if you are interested in the role of 2018 Banquet Emcee or providing a toast. Deadline for submission is Thursday March 22nd. If you have any questions please see Ms. Olson.

 

·        Attention All Graduating Grade 12 students!  There are nine $1000 scholarships and one $2500 grand scholarship available through the “Keep Canada Green” online scholarship contest. ·        REMAX of Western Canada QUEST FOR EXCELLENCE 2018 Bursary Program: this program recognizes the success and ongoing pursuits of Western Canadian students with regard to Leadership and Community Contribution initiatives.
