Student voice, opinion and feedback is vital to ensuring we create the best possible learning community for all community members, especially our students. Every year the Principal's Advisory Council works to support and advise the administrative team at Central, but we also recognize that a broader cross-section of students will provide greater direction and insight. 6 sessions will be held with space for approximately 10 students to have a discussion with me, your principal, Ms. Lisi, and members of my Leadership team.
During these sessions students will be asked to take a quick survey followed by engaging in a discussion that will include topics such as highlighting the strengths and areas of growth for CMHS. Students will also have opportunity to submit questions in advance of the sessions that they have always been curious about and never had opportunity to ask. These will be addressed in the sessions.
The intent of the sessions is to ensure that students have an opportunity to be heard, and wherever possible, to respond to what is shared by students through administrative action. The only caveat that students need to understand is that there are some things that are actually beyond the principal's control and outside of her realm of authority.
Another intended outcome is that participating students get a greater sense of how and why some decisions are made and get to know the people behind the decision making as individuals and not simply authority figures with titles.
Participation is based on a first to sign up first to participate basis. Please indicate which session you would like to attend. Thank you! Session dates: April 28, May 5 and 12 Session times: 9:00am - 10:30am & 10:30am -12:00pm each date
