Badminton - Calling all badminton players. Meeting on Thursday January 15 at lunch in Rm.141 (Sports Medicine). First practice Monday, Feb 2 at 7:15a.m. in the Main Gym. Questions see Wilpert (Construction), Williams (Rm.174 – TASC), Robinson (PE office).
French Challenge Exam
The French Challenge Exam will take place on January 28th at 1:00 pm in Room 109. Students that signed up for this exam need to attend. There will be no other dates available for this exam. If you have any questions, please see Ms. Engel in room 109 or contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Canadian Blood Services Lifebus
We have reserved seats on February 24 and 25, 2015. If you missed out the first round you can join in now. If you gave blood in the first round you are able to donate again in February. Contact Mrs. McLean in Room 126 or one of the Young Blood for Life team to book your space.
Central needs to nominate one Grade 12 for a very LARGE scholarship ($60,000-80,000, not kidding!), the deadline for this being mid- January, 2015. The scholarship is the annual Schulich Leader Scholarship competition in Canada, and involves Grade 12 students who:
1. Have Academic Excellence (90% +)
2. Financial need
3. Outstanding community Business/Entrepreneurial leadership on their current portfolio
4. Are applying for September, 2015 in a Canadian University for a degree in either: Science, Technology, Engineering or Math
If the above describes you please meet with Ms. Knowles Connop BEFORE the end of December to be potentially placed on our list of contenders to be our chosen nominee for this year !!!!
South-East Doors to Remain Open
All students: Please be advised that effective December 9th – the furthest south-east door, which is accessed by the handi-buses, will remain open all day to facilitate movement between Central Memorial and CTC during the winter months. Students are kindly asked to refrain from cutting through the big shops to access CTC. Please only use the student parking lot exit or the aforementioned exit in the rear section of the building. March 4 - Pursue Your Passion Day (full instructional timetable – students have choice in their learning that day) – attendance for students as per usual - mandatory
April 9 - No classes – Parent-Teacher interviews from 1-8pm Online booking system will be used
May 28 - Graduation – No Classes
May 29 - Regular Schedule Classes
