WORLD GEOGRAPHY 30 (3 credits)

This course is an extension of Geography of Canada.  We will focus on world patterns of physical and human elements.  Furthermore, there will be case studies in population and settlement and how we use our limited natural resources to sustain increasingly larger populations.  The emphasis will be on the world’s three largest cities: Mexico City, Tokyo-Yokohama and Sao Paulo. As the world becomes one global neighbourhood, it is important to understand our interdependence.  Hence, geographic literacy, a measure of international comprehension and awareness will be fundamental in this course.
