Orange in The Netherlands and Paris

Students from Maurick College in the Netherlands visited us in April 2014 for a full French Immersion experience including our Canadian culture. Students from the French Immersion program recently visited their partners from Maurick college, experiencing life at the college and the cultural aspects that the Netherlands has to offer ( biking, eating, singing, learning Greek and Latin, etc.) We included a social studies aspect by visiting Kamp Vught and the Ann Frank museum in Amsterdam. To conclude all the participants spend 3 days together in the beautiful city of light – Paris !

Aberhart is #1 in Canada for Blood Donations!

A special thank-you and congratulations goes out to William Aberhart High School for an amazing Young Bloods For Life Challenge. The students really rose to the challenge and engaged the whole community in their efforts to achieve first place in the nation. 729 units of blood have been donated from William Aberhart High School. The challenge brought in 127 new donors from our school alone, and our overall contributions amounted to 33% of the donations that came from Alberta.
