About us
Henry Wise Wood High School is the Home of Scholars, Artists and Champions and where International Students Feel at Home. The school is named after Henry Wise Wood, an Alberta pioneer, who was born in 1860 in Missouri, USA. Henry Wise Wood moved to Alberta in 1905 and became a Canadian citizen in 1909. He was instrumental in forming the Alberta Wheat Pool and the United Farmers of Alberta. Henry Wise Wood is regarded as one of the most influential individuals in Canadian agricultural and farming history.
