BHS Trojans Heading Abroad | UK March 2016
Bowness High School would like to announce a possible student educational trip coming up for March 2016. We are hoping to bring a group of 35+ students to explore the United Kingdom with EF Educational Tours! Please join us Wednesday, June 3rd at 6:30 in the Bowness High School Theatre for a parent/student information meeting regarding our upcoming UK 2016 trip. Students must sign up by June 30th to receive a $149 travel incentive. At this point we are trying to see what the student and family interest is to be sure we have a large enough group attending. We will also have to apply to get official permission from the Calgary Board of Education once we determine there are enough students interested. See our school website for more information or contact Dawn Berry at 403-286-5092 ext 2150 or at email@example.com. Hope to see you there!
On June 2nd, over 50 CBE schools and an estimated 8000 students, will be biking to school. Ride your bike to Bowness and enjoy breakfast with fellow cyclists. Ensure you have a helmet and lock. Students will be asked to secure their bikes in the storage cage behind the school. Enter your name for prizes. If you have questions, please see Ms. Toews or Mr. Allan.

All In For Youth
All In for Youth is a citywide initiative focused on school completion. Its goal is to reduce high school dropouts in Calgary by 50% by 2017. Developed by United Way of Calgary and Area, All In for Youth is guided by three principles: Keep youth in school, bring youth back and connect youth to continuing education.
Bowness High School is an All In for Youth school. This means we are committed to providing youth with the resources and supports necessary to complete high school, access further education and transition successfully into the workforce.
