Invitations to our celebration will be sent out via e-mail after this date, so please keep the date free if you are expecting to be eligible. Vimy 100 Trip to Europe

In April 2017, we are taking a group of students to Europe for a Canadian Battlefield Tour to countries such as The Netherlands, Belgium and France. Beyond all of the interesting historical sites and cultural experiences offered, we are also very excited to be able to attend the Vimy 100 ceremony at Vimy Ridge Memorial on April 9. We are thrilled to find out that 9,000 Canadian students and teaching staff will be in attendance and there will be dignitaries from all over the world including our prime minister and likely members of the Royal Family. We have been planning this trip since last spring and currently have a nice sized group attending but would like to open the enrollment to add 10-15 students who will be attending Bowness next year. I have attached the PowerPoint that we presented at our first parent meeting in the spring, that lists the details of the itinerary and the costs involved. If you are interested in sending your son/daughter on this trip and have further questions, please feel free to contact Mr. Root or myself, Ms. Berry. We have both taken students on this trip in the past and can answer your queries with confidence. Mrs. Macdonald, our school principal, will also be travelling with us and is looking forward to sharing in this adventure. To register, please print of an EF application fee from and submit it with a deposit payment of $1200 by May 15 as well as a post-dated cheque for $2750 for October 31, 2016. Please also ask your son/daughter’s teacher to send an email to to endorse your child’s participation based on positive behavior, consistent attendance, and overall respect and responsibility.

We would love for more students to have the opportunity to attend this historic event and experience international travel with their peers.
