Parent-Teacher Conferences | Oct. 19, 2017

Thursday, October 19 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm


No appointment is necessary as they are held on a first come, first served basis. Teacher location information will be available at the new main entrance. Please check your students’ marks on HomeLogic.


On this evening, our Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) Club will be collecting food for the foodbank for the WE Scare Hunger Campaign as well as winter clothing for Jacket Racket. Please bring your donations to the school when you come on Thursday, October 19.


Attention 2018 Grads

The Grad Ring Display will be set up in the main foyer during lunch on Wednesday, October 18 and during parent/teacher conferences on Thursday, October 19 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.


Grad Photo bookings will start on Friday, October 20. Go to to book your appointment. Photos will start on November 13 until November 21 by appointment only.

Little Free Libraries Grow to 17 in our Neighbourhood
In September 2013, Community Action for Early Childhood (CAEC) celebrated the opening of Bowness's first Little Free Library. Since then, these little book boxes have been popping up all over the neighbourhood thanks, in large part, to a partnership with Bowness High School.

Painting at Bowness

Dear Parents/Guardians


CBE Maintenance Services plans to start painting the interior of our school sometime this school year. The hallways, library, gym, washrooms, staffroom, office area and the interior and exterior doors will be givien a fresh new look. It is anticipated that the project will take six to eight weeks.

High Performance Athlete Development Pathway

The Calgary Board of Education is excited to announce the High Performance Athlete Development Pathway at Bowness High School.  This pathway provides student athletes technical, theoretical and experiential opportunities in the pursuit of high performance athletics.  It supports students who are athletic and who crave a wide range of athletic experiences - who want to explore multiple sports under the tutelage of provincial, national and varsity coaches, along with highly trained teachers.  The pathway is recognized by the Canadian Olympic Committee, the Canadian Paralympic Committee, Own the Podium, The Canadian Sport Institute – Calgary, and several national sport organizations.
