Please refer to the detailed High School Course Guide, Alberta Diploma and Certificate Requirements, the Bowness High School Course Guide Insert, and the High School Planning Form to help create a plan for success, graduation, and life beyond high school whether it be post-secondary learning, or directly to work.

The Bowness High School Course Guide Insert highlights program and course offerings like Advanced Placement, Pre-Engineering, Computer Science, and Commercial Foods/Culinary Arts, as well as the other complementary programs (CTS, Fine and Performing Arts, Personal Development, and Second Languages, and Off Campus Education).

HomeLogic

2018-2019 Important Course Request Information

HomeLogic will be open for course selection from February 5 to 14, 2018. Students may select classes and parents are asked to verify these selections after February 14. From February 5 to 14, students will also be coming down to the Learning Commons Computer Lab with their period 3 classes to confirm and/or receive support with their registration with the school counsellors.

Next Year’s Grade 11 Registration: Students must select 7 courses plus CALM 20 (7.5 courses). Please check to be sure that the correct course levels have been chosen and that prerequisites have been met.

Next Year’s Grade 12 Registration: Students must select at least 6 classes and be on track for graduation. Please check to be sure that the correct course levels have been chosen and that prerequisites have been met.

*If you are planning on taking Summer School with Chinook Learning or CBe-learn, include that course in your list of courses. The course can be removed after completing the summer course.

Next Year’s Grade 10 Registration: Course Selection is not available online for Grade 9 students. Students will complete and submit the yellow course selection forms to their grade 9 teachers before February 2. These forms will be sent to Bowness High School and the courses will be entered by Student Services. Verifications will be available in April.
