Digital Photography 10

This course is designed to allow students to explore digital photography techniques, skills and basics using personal or school DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex) cameras. Courses include foundation of camera operations and functions, important vocabulary, composition, basic exposure techniques plus digital presentation of your completed and produced images. There may be a career/entrepreneur component depending on students past experiences.

It is recommended students have a basic knowledge of art principles and enjoy working with both technology and traditional art mediums. Students who wish to produce projects outside of curriculum assigned work will be charged a fee to cover the cost of materials.

Photography 20 & 30

Photography 20 and 30 builds on the introductory photography skills explored in Graphic Design 10 and specializes in the use of digital SLR (Single Lens Reflex) cameras. Students will further their knowledge and technical abilities to manually adjust camera settings in order to create stunning planned photographs. Students will experiment with lenses, composition, digital retouching, backdrops, lighting, and printing options while using the photography studio.
