Grad 2012 Banquet and Dance

Dress: Semiformal or Formal (jacket and tie/ no jeans or casual wear)
Open to: Graduating students, escorts, parents, guardians, relatives, school staff. (Escorts NOT required).
NOTE: ALL tickets must be purchased BEFORE table reservations can be made!
Ticket Purchase: March 12-21
Graduation Banquet tickets will be on sale from March 12-21 at lunch in the business office. Tickets will be $75 each. Payment is made by cash or personal cheque ONLY. Business cheques will NOT be accepted! (Make cheques payable to Sir Winston Churchill High School.) Students may purchase as many tickets as they wish. The tickets will be available to students who have no outstanding items, at the business office on the following days according to their last name.

(Please Note: Students will not be allowed to purchase banquet tickets if they have outstanding items at the business office.)
Table Reservations:
Reservation sheets for tables of 10 or more will be available in the business office and main office Monday March 12. The actual reservations will be made in the auxiliary gym at 3:15 pm on Tuesday April 3 for complete tables of 9, 10, 11 or 12. (Group must average 10 per table) and again in room 234 on Wednesday April 4 at lunch (for tables of 6, 7 or 8) Groups of 5 or less will choose from the remaining space, beginning Thursday April 5 at lunch in Room 234.
Tuesday, April 3th at 3:15 pm – AUX Gym for tables with 9 or more guests
Wednesday, April 4th at the lunch break – room 234 for tables with 6, 7 or 8 guests
Thursday, April 5th at the lunch break – room 234 for tables with 5 or less guests
Please Note: A table will seat up to 10 guests comfortably; adding 1 or 2 seats will cause crowding.
Tickets:
Beginning Monday March 12 by alphabetical groups, tickets will be sold from the business office over our lunch hour. Line up from the second business office door (by the phones) into the cafeteria and obtain a number. Have your student ID with you and your personal cheque ONLY. Business cheques will not be accepted! No post-dated cheques. Cash will be accepted, but we do not have receipts. A friend may buy your tickets for you, however, they will need your ID card and your personal cheque. (please make cheques payable to Sir Winston Churchill High School) There is no limit to the number of tickets available.
Table Reservations:
Obtain a table reservation sheet from the business office beginning March 12. The standard size is a table of 10. Special sheets must be obtained from Ms. Jones (Science Department, room 244 or room 234) or the business office for tables of 11 or 12. These sheets must be filled out correctly and completely including first and last names and ticket numbers.
Note: John’s date, Gamma Smith, Bob’s brother, etc. will not be accepted! These will be checked by Grad committee members prior to the reservation draw. If you wish to sit as a group of tables at the banquet, please group these together by stapling sheets together. The actual reservations will be made in the aux gym at 3:15 pm on Tuesday April 3 for complete tables of 9, 10 or more. A random draw will decide the order in which you will select where your group will sit. You will need one random-draw number per table or one random-draw number per group of tables (if you want to be grouped together). Tables of 8 or less, come to room 234 on Wednesday April 4 at lunch. On the reservation sheet please indicate the number of alternative meals and who is to receive these meals for each table.
Banquet
Friday, June 1, 2012. Parking is available in the Telus Convention centre and in Palliser Square. Leave outerwear in your car. There is no coat check. Arrive prior to the 5:30 reception time. Meet the rest of your group in the actual hall, NOT outside. All tables are reserved, with the correct number of place settings and none will be added. Alphabetical listings will be posted opposite room 234 in the weeks prior to the banquet. These need to be checked for accuracy, any changes need to be brought to the attention of Ms. Jones (room 234). YOU must inform your guests of our formal/semiformal dress code. Security could refuse admittance. The convention centre is a smoke-free environment. This is a school-sponsored function; therefore, wine or other alcoholic beverages are NOT available in the banquet hall. Should you leave and return in anything less than the required dress code, you will be refused admittance. Dancing will be available until 11:30 pm.
