Welcome!
The students, parents and faculty in our community place a very high value on the importance of Mathematics. As a result, the Mathematics Department at Sir Winston Churchill has a long history of excellence.
In a typical year, half of our Pure Mathematics 30 students reach or exceed the Provincial Standard of Excellence. In addition, well over half of our grade twelve students successfully complete Mathematics 31 – Calculus. Typically, two thirds or more of our International Baccalaureate students score 6 or 7 on the IB exams (maximum is 7). Students in our Mathematics Club participate in a host of provincial, national and international competitions and they achieve phenomenal results.
