Grade 9 Entry
The transition and changes coming from a junior high school to senior high school is often daunting. This page is for our perspective students and parents who are designated to come to Sir Winston Churchill in the Fall 2012 intake.
Grade 9 Tours
- Grade 9 Tours will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Tour times are currently still under discussion, and will be posted here once finalized.
- We respectfully ask that parents avoid coming on these tours. Parents will have an opportunity to tour the school with their son/daughter during the evening Open House (see below).

Open House
- Parents are strongly encouraged to attend the Open House on January 17, 2012 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. You are welcome to bring your son/daughter.
- The purpose of this Open House is to provide an opportunity for parents to view classrooms and ask questions about specific programs in an informal fashion.
- Our Principal and Administrative team will host two 15-20 minute information sessions in the theatre. The first session will begin at 6:00 PM, and the second session will start at 7:00 PM. They will be available to answer questions about Churchill and high school during these sessions.
- After the information session, parents are welcome to tour the school themselves (maps are available) or join a brief building tour. These tours leaving every 15 minutes from the school library.
- The brief tour above has no stopping points and no formal presentations, but parents are welcome to leave the tour or go back to a particular location to ask questions about programs.
