dance 15/25/35

Dance is an integral part of the arts. In addition to being a means of communication through movement, dance fosters personal growth and self awareness. It develops the whole individual physically, cognitively, creatively and socially. Dance promotes positive interaction among students and allows them to explore various forms of dance in a non-competitive environment. Students are provided with the opportunity to explore jazz, ballet, creative, modern and culturally distinct dance. Dance technique, creativity, choreography, performance, safety, anatomy, history and awareness are integral components of the program.

Dance 15, 25 and 35 are locally developed courses, but the University of Calgary now offers a degree in Dance. These courses would be very helpful preparation for entrance into that faculty.
