Our team consists of two full time Resource teachers who offer educational support to students. Our focus is to work with students developing goals and strategies to enhance their success. We develop Individual Program Plans for students in conjunction with course subject teachers, parents and the students themselves, with an effort to strive toward developing and maintaining the skills necessary to move forward. Students may access support during tutorial times and in agreement with teachers during class time. Students who are identified with learning needs are given priority for the program. Students can be referred to resource by the classroom teacher.

We have a Resource office located in Student Services for individual meetings.
The Assistive Technology Lab is located in the Media Centre. This room houses 18 computers with software programs; including the Kurzweil text to speech program. This area provides a quiet, distraction free environment for students to complete course work, study, write tests and receive small group and one to one assistance. We also provide assistance to develop and reinforce study skills, self advocacy skills, organizational skills and proper work habits.
Students are encouraged to take an active role in their learning by being aware of their specific needs and through the development of self advocacy skills. Our program offers student's opportunities to build self-esteem, life long learning and increased levels of success in their high school classes.
Test support and accommodations are offered to students that have been identified by a registered psychologist as a student with learning needs. This is used throughout the year and extensively during tests and exam time.
