Withdrawal

When students decide to leave Discovering Choices it is their responsibility to complete a Calgary Board of Education School Transfer Form. It is important that you return any school materials you have to Discovering Choices.

Courses

Most courses offered at Discovering Choices consist of correspondence materials from Alberta Distance Learning. Each course is developed in sections called modules. Each module is accompanied with an assignment booklet. Staff will grade these booklets as you complete and hand them in. Each assignment booklet is evaluated based on how well you demonstrate your understanding of the concepts, completeness, effort and legibility. The value of each assignment is stated inside the booklet. Generally, your assignment booklets will be worth up to 60% of your overall grade. A minimum of 40% or greater is required on *final exams to earn credits.*Midterms may be required for some of the courses.
