individual and/or family counseling, community and family support services
for high school students with Severe behavioral, emotional and/or social
needs at risk of dropping out (or who have dropped out) of school and
are in need of a Special Education Setting.
Nexus
strives to empower the student and family for the return of the student
to a community setting with the skills necessary for success. It builds
working relationships among all stakeholders based on the educational
needs of students.
It increases opportunities to: a) enhance the student’s sense
of self-worth, b) create an environment of choice which encourages self-empowerment
on the part of students and their families, c) allow for success in developing
strategies and skill sets which will allow students to be successful.
