The Board of Trustees of the Calgary Board of Education passed a motion at the December 6, 2016 regular board meeting to consider the closure of the Juno Beach Academy of Canadian Studies.
It is anticipated the Board of Trustees will consider this closure at the April 4, 2017 public board meeting.
The general public was invited to attend one of two public meetings held in accordance with the School Act regarding the closure under consideration by the Calgary Board of Education Board of Trustees. The meetings were held at Juno Beach Academy of Canadian Studies (315 - 86 Ave S.W.) on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. and the Education Centre (1221 – 8 St S.W.) on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m.
The purpose of these meetings was to share information about the matter and to allow for input and questions. At least two Calgary Board of Education Trustees were present.
Written feedback will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. on Friday March 31, 2017.
