Face-to face-conferences are important to student success and we encourage students and parents to attend together. Our first conferences this year are October 30** (3:00 - 8:00 PM) and October 31 (8:00 AM to 3:00 PM). Parents can register for 10 minute time periods starting on October 20 using the conference button to the left.

Grade 10 Parents/students must book time with their connect teacher. Grade 11/12 parents/students should book with the connect teacher and course teacher(s) as required.Purpose for Conferences – To celebrate

successes/learning plans, to identify areasfor growth and to develop plans for action prior to Thirsk Days/summativeassessment/report cards.
Attendance - We prefer all participants to attend in person; alternately
parents/guardians can participate electronically – for example via “Facetime” orconference call.

** Please note that Thursday, October 30 is a Friday schedule to accommodate conferences.

Assessment Information Evening – November 5, 2014

We are hosting an assessment information evening on Nov 5 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM. The evening will include a presentation and the opportunity to discuss specific examples of assessments/assignments in small groups. A light supper will be provided.
