ELL Student Support
Online resources and support is available for all English Langugage Learners. Students who are identified as ELL are given access to a special shell in D2L called "ELL Student Support". You can access this by logging into D2L.

Every student who is coded as ELL (English Language Learner) is required to complete a benchmark assessment of English ability once per school year.

Q: I am a student at another school. Do I need to do this at both schools?
A: No. Students who are only taking courses at CBe-learn will do this assessment at CBe-learn.
Q When can I do this?
A: See the "Event Details" on the side of this document. This information can also be found on our website at www.cbelearn.ca.
Q: How long is the test?
A: The test takes approximately two hours. It will start promptly at the times listed and so please come a few minutes early.
Q: Do I need to study for the test?
A: No. The test assesses your current listening, reading and writing skills but there is nothing you need to study.
Q: What do I need to bring?
A: You only need to bring your government issued picture ID and a pencil.
